Art Blast!
It’s time to get creative for Art Blast! Our theme this year is “How Do You Celebrate Nature?!” Students are asked to make art interpreting this theme. Are you inspired by plants? Your animals? A local landscape? Capture your inspiration on paper for us!
Please turn in artwork to your teacher by April 10th. A form is being sent home today for students to fill out a title tag for their work. This form can also be downloaded HERE. Art Blast is the evening of Friday April 12th 6-8PM. We will display students’ work & have fun projects for them to do! We hope everyone can join us to celebrate the creativity coming from our very own students!

Please come to the PTC Meeting, next Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 pm where we’ll have a Community Outreach Specialist with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office present about internet safety. The Outreach Specialist and our School Resource Officer, will teach parents how to help keep kids safe on the internet in this ever-changing cyber world.
You will also have the opportunity to cast your vote on how the surplus funds will be spent. We did so well during our Jog-a-thon fundraiser, as well as other school fundraisers, that we’re tracking to have a surplus this year. Our yearly goal is to spend the funds during the current school year.
Did you know?
The PTC is completely volunteer run!
Each PTC Board Position commitment is for one year. A person may serve in the same position for a maximum of two consecutive years.
The following board positions will be open for next school year (2019-2020)
- President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Volunteer Coordinator (can be shared by two volunteers)
Board positions are crucial to the PTC and the school to provide support for our successful PTC programs.
If you are interested in becoming a board member, please see the position description/duties in our Bylaws and contact the current Volunteer Coordinator to share your interest.
Ideally, those interested should reach out now so they can shadow existing board members to learn more about the position in the current school year.
