Wishlists
Thinking about getting a little something for your student’s teacher for the holidays, but not sure what? Don’t forget about the Wish Lists located on the PTC website HERE

Makerspace

From the volunteers of the Makerspace room, we wish you all a wonderful holiday season!  We thank you to those who have donated materials and items so far.  Your donations are put to great use as teachers are using the space quite a bit with students.

Please continue to review our  Terra Linda Makerspace Wishlist.  We hope to see a lot of use of the materials in 2020!  Donations of any size or quantity will be appreciated.  Please drop items off at the Terra Linda office and mention they are for the Makerspace room.

Our tech toy of the month is Dash.  It is a robotic toy that can be programmed to move, talk, and play sounds.  Please ask you child if they have been enjoying the robot so far.

Interested in helping the kids make their creations with Terra Linda Technology Educator, Rishika Batheja?  Or have ideas to share for future activities?  Please contact Maria Schaeffer at makerspace@terralindaptc.org

Green Team Update

Lights Out!
Do you tend to leave lights on when you don’t really need them? You have to see this! Produced by and starring some of our very own Terra Linda Tigers, this short film titled “Lights Off When You Leave the Room!” delivers a great message about energy conservation.

PlanetCon
This Recycling, Reuse & Sustainability Fair is happening on January 11, 2020 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Quatama Elementary in Hillsboro. It is a FREE community event brought to you by the Westside Master Recyclers. In addition to learning better ways to support our planet, you can actually take items to recycle at the fair, including all that styrofoam you are likely to collect over the holiday. Other acceptable items include plastics, batteries, and small electronics, so be sure to hang onto to these items for the fair.  For more information and a full list of recyclables, go HERE
